reset button?

I think moms have a "good mommy button"
Latley Ive been really wanting to uncover mine. Not that im being a bad mom im just fealing swamped doing everything for everyone except myself. In fact I told my man next time he gets a day off I get half of it! Its only fair right? Except he rarley gets a day off so it might be a fight for it...lol

The key to re setting the good mommy button is the relax button......i think...
There it is the big ol red button!

need I say more?
Haha I love time outs like this.....
Wonder if this would really uncover the secrets?  100 x 10 thats alot of minutes!
This seems kinda mean but I bet she will go home with a freshly set re-set button
who gave this mom time to exercise...thats crazy...I dont get it?

oh to clear my mind and have nuthing to do....yeah right you know just outside side the frame of this photo kids would be splashing and yelling as crows devour the picnic lunch.....

Needles to say I love my boys unconditionaly so I am going to leave you with something I think should be in the book of awesome......

Making pudding with your 5 yr old and watching him watch the pudding as it thickens....
Watching your baby Dance to any noise he hears....
All moments are pricless this I know.

family vacation ....

Tommorow is the big day that we take off to Qualicum beach for 2 nights.
Mother in law, sister in law/ bestie, my man. and 2 boys and I.
It will be our first real getaway since Riley was born almost exactly a year ago!
Only a couple hours ago did I realize it was tommorow we were leaving and I havent packed a thing.
Bjorn still might have to work tommorow and there is 6 of us in a 5 seater car....
As you can see we have some figuring out to do but I would never excpect a family vacay to go to smoothly.

We will be celebrating my babies first birthday, playing in sand and cruising down waterslides!
CHEERS TO FAMILY  AND VACATIONS!
p.s feal free to refer to my recent posting of how much the sun is not my friend ;) that should give you a more detailed picture of how my time will be spent!
look at all the fun! I can water plants, watch old people golf and buy jelly of all sorts!

thats not so bad.....ahhhh
I see sand... sand is better then rocks when it comes to baby...
Probably wont play on this one...

so I was going to post some nice sweet family photos but ive decided to leave you with embarrassing family photos instead!
I cant get enough of these bad boyz so dont be surprised if I start a family photo friday..lol

Hot Day right?

Everyone loves a nice hot day right? WRONG!
Everyone should have to walk a hot sunny day in the shoes of a pale redhead (with xtra body fat for a little more insilation). On this day the people ( you)  should also drag around a 5 yr old and a 1 yr old just to really get into it.
The constant rock inhaling of the baby makes for an xtra enjoyable time at the beach ;)
Of course you have to wear a hat cause if not you will probably be in bed with shivers and fevers from heat stroke. Cover up as much of your skin as possible because no matter how many times you reaply sunscreen you will always miss a spot!  Please remind all your friends that they should all make sure to wear sunglasses this will make people like me look a shade darker while also protecting retnas from the glare. Now when you ask if I want to spend a  day at the beach or relax at the lake (hahaha) you will know my reasons...
People (My mom) say one day Pale will be in....so watch out you tanned type peeps im gonna rule the show one day!
33 degrees = hiding from the oustside world.

thats not such bad shade......

thank god for large leaves...

its true im somebodys mom....
p.s this could be you !

summer fashion...

Summer time is when I dig through the bottom drawer of my dresser. I find skirts and bathing suits both too small and outdated. This happens every season since I have had kids. I keep thinking that one day I will be smaller and that is when I will invest in new clothes. Now that my oldest is 5 I think its time to realize I am this size and I must shop! When I was younger I always hoped I would keep up with the fashions. I didnt want to be one of those moms that got stuck in a time zone. I feal this happening and Ive gotta get out quick!
I wonder what the 12 teens think when they see me? am I a cool mom or am I a mom thats trying to look young by wearing occasional name brand clothing? my butt cracks always hanging out which isnt only un sightly but un comfortable, the one skirt I like has a giant hole in the arse because a couple summers a go I slipped on a rock and ripped it.. yes I was intoxicated and there was blood. Dont even get me started on the bras I own that hold half a boob!
I guess its time to cash in some cans and spend the kids education money on some updated clothes... The problem you ask?
Well I only have about $9 in empties and no where to shop. So once again I am in the lame cycle of waiting till im thinner because then maybe I will be richer too...lol
SCREW IT!
IM GOING SHOPPING! WHOS IN? must be 150 pounds or more to apply....

thats weird right?

and this is weird for a mom... I dont want to be her....lol

Im very scared of this in so many ways!!!

This is one of those rutts im talking about.......

thats more like it, check out that style!

and this.....

see thin and rich buys fashion for moms...

Dont even get me started on finding time to shop!
Thats a whole other topic!
Happy summer fashions to all of you.
I hope your luck is better then mine :)

Whats my excuse this time?
2 weddings, a graduation, 2 hospital visits for my baby ( who thank god is on the mend), working, board meeting and entertaining an asthmatic 5 yr old! Oh right and of course the full time housewife and mother stuff.these are my reasons for not posting in a while.
I hope they are good enough for you.
Today I would like to point out some more things from the book of awesome because after these last couple weeks I need to be reminded of awesome things.

#476 Bighting off the last piece of popsicle
without losing any of it !

oh wow.. or my favorite...Licking it psychotically

Im never gonna be able to break apart a popsicle again without fealing bad!
It would be like stepping on an aunt right after watching Bugs life!

#552 When you went to the gym yesterday

Its been too long but I still remember the fealing....

#587 taking out your pony tail

Especially if it weighs this much!
No really though that enjoyable bruising sensation really is freakin great isnt it?

High Maintenance....

Is this something we all want to be somtimes?
Take for instance these girls who live the high maintanence life style... they may spend too much on material things and thats not the part that I feal I need but they get pampered at spas and have beautiful nails and skin. Who dosnt want some sparkly diamonds and glitter while sporting the latest hair style?
I have found myself not understanding this lifestyle but now I sometimes find myself wanting a taste of it!
so CHEERS  to all the high maintenance ladies!

ahhh.....

eek!

this is so not me... take off those shoes women and splash the shit out of that puddle!

wow is all I have to say.....

The reason I say wow you might ask?  well it is mom upside down and I have been reminded in the last couple weeks of how wowwy mommys really are. I have been unable to write a blog let alone clean a room.
Why?  Because I was keeping my cute lil creatures happy. Its a good thing my boys are so cute!
This week Riley started "helping" with Laundry. He also helps "vacume" random objects off the floor.
Oh what a great stage he is at, creepin up on that one year mark! The 5 yr old, well hes a pretty great kid. Recently he has learned to ride without training wheels and today he was swimming in the pool all on his own under the water! yay mommy is so proud! Of course there is another side to this boy child of mine....Latley hes decided to shed tears over small things such as the shoes he is going to wear for a 5 minute car ride when he isnt even getting out, or the jam that he all of a sudden wont eat because he found a seed, to top it off he wouldnt get out of the car to walk to the house because it was too cold but he made it very clear in his yelly screamer voice that he was going to run away. I of course explained to him that running away was a much further and colder journey then walking to the front door.  Now that you have all had a small taste of my last week or two I will leave you with some of the pics that make up for these difficult moments.....
Oh yes please crawl in the folded laundry with your snotty nose.....
(note this is after refolding it all after he "helped" me)

okay if your gonna be that cute im  I cant argue....snot away my lil helper :)

oh my lil punk how fun you are to dress up and play with......
if only you ever sat still!
